COVID-19 HEALTH & SAFETY PROTOCOL
As the leader in the Toronto tango community, we do our best to ensure your health and safety in the Tango Studio and to protect your family and friends. The health and safety plan is established according to the regulations of the City of Toronto, the Ontario government and Dance Safe Accreditation in Ontario.
REGISTER FOR TANGO LESSONS
TANGO CLASS CAPACITY
Group Tango Lessons have now moved to a bigger 3000sq ft. hall, and we are operating at 30% capacity so that each dance couple can stay 2 meters apart in our Tango Studio or Lobby/Waiting Area.
Pre-registration is a MUST. Please do not drop in alone. Your registration records will be kept for 30 days for contact tracing purposes.
Due to COVID, you will need a dance partner to attend coupled Tango Lessons (you can find one here before registering).
Class schedule subject to change. In case of COVID exposure, we will close the Tango Studio for 7 days to keep everyone safe. Please provide correct contact information so that we can communicate with you before class.
PRIVATE LESSONS
Couple registration will be confirmed immediately if spaces are available.
Private Tango lessons: Couples only. Bulent & Lina since will be demonstrating 2 meters away from you.
I DON'T HAVE A PARTNER
TANGO TECHNIQUE CLASSES
You are highly recommended to take our famous Tango Techniques classes. The class is usually overbooked, so register early. Minimum Requirement for this tango class: Completed Beginner Tango Level 2
LOOKING FOR A PARTNER
For coupled classes, we can help to find a partner for you, it will take a few weeks so please fill in the form early. You can then register for a class when there is a partner available.
WHAT TO BRING
Bring your own water bottle.
All belongings need to be kept in one placed in a bag. Please take shower, wash your hair and wear clean/washed clothes for class (hmm.. that should be done all the time anyway ... "That same T-shirt from yesterday should have been in the laundry!" says Mum.)
LOST AND FOUND
We apologize that we cannot keep any lost and found. Please collect all your personal belongings before departure.
ARRIVING TO CLASS
HAND SANITIZING STATIONS
Please use the hand sanitizer provided at the door/reception, and wash your hands before / after dancing.
MASKS
We will be following the Government of Ontario's advise on Mask or Vaccination requirements. However, if your partner requires you to wear a mask, please do so. They may be living with someone whose immune system has been compromised.
All policy subject to change according the current regulations.
PHYSICAL DISTANCING
We have the biggest Tango Space in Toronto that allows designated Tango dance area for you and your partner. Bulent & Lina will also be demonstrating 2 meters away from you.
TANGO CLASS CREDITS
The Tango Studio will be closed for 7 days if more than 5 students and/or teachers have tested positive, or due to COVID outbreak prevention. We simply do so to protect everyone from potential exposures. Your credits of Tango classes will be extended accordingly.
In case if there is a sixth wave of COVID-19 that leads to suspension of classes, the Tango studio will seek to offer online classes as an alternative option. You can choose to participate or not. The expiry dates of your class credits will be extended should online Tango classes are not an option for you.
ATTENDANCE / ABSENCE
POLICY
For absence, you MUST notify the Tango School and your partner in written notice 72 hours in advance. We will try to find a replacement for your partner. For any no show, or notification after 3pm on the day of class, you will need to bring a bottle of wine for your partner, who is very likely standing alone for the entire class (crying).
If you or anyone that you have been in contact with has tested positive for COVID-19, you are responsible to notify us immediately so that we can inform all staff and students.
For any absence, expiry date of Tango Classes will not be extended. Though there will be make up Tango classes of the same or a lower level.
